The facade system was broken down into 7 main types — Konkav, Konvex, Straight, Transitional, Magistrale, Special Panels, and InnenHof — each catalogued across 5 buildings and 7 floor levels.

Each panel type required its own Grasshopper-based generation tool, with data transferred directly from Rhino geometry into parametric definitions. The HOPS plugin was used for looping generation functions across repeating elements like stiffeners.

This workflow allowed the team to systematically model, check, and optimise hundreds of unique components while maintaining full traceability across the project.

At critical junctions where different facade types met, detailed 3D connection studies were produced for both internal review and external structural validation.

Fabrication geometry was further tested by comparing sweep and loft surface methods in Grasshopper, ensuring the most manufacturable result for each bent metal sheet component.

The digital models fed directly into fabrication workflows. Each panel type — from the curved Konvex and Konkav elements to the Attika and Magistrale InnenHof pieces — was developed with sheet metal bending constraints in mind from the outset.

Workshop photos and fabricated components were cross-referenced against 3D models throughout the execution phase to ensure precision on site.
